
In this Sunday's sermon passage, there is a reference to ancient grain grinding. "There will be two women grinding grain together. One will be taken and the other left." (Luke 17:35).

Commentator John Nolland on this passage: Christ will return "...bringing both deliverance and devastating destruction..." The drama of that day "...will unfold with a precision that will distinguish between those in even the closest proximity to one another. Who will rise to the occasion?" (Word Biblical Commentary, vol. 35B, p. 849).
